All materials included in this product support the instructional plans, Unit Frameworks, Performance Tasks, and curriculum map provided by the GaDOE for Third Grade Social Studies. The correlating states resources may be found at https://www.georgiastandards.org/Frameworks/pages/BrowseFrameworks/socialstudiesK-5.aspx. The GaDOE recommends the use of a concept wall while teaching each of the Unit Frameworks.

The Third Grade Georgia Social Studies Concept Wall requires no prep and can be printed and added to the wall as each concept is taught. Each of the categories and corresponding cards are color coded for easy reference. The information cards will help to keep the concepts taught focused and help to relate the standards back to the enduring understandings.

I created this PowerPoint to accompany the book The Man Who Walked Between the Towers by Mordecai Gerstein. This book is a great resource to introduce the concept of Beliefs and Ideas!
