Math Journal

I wanted to create a daily math journal that covered a lot of the Common Core Standards, was easy to differentiate, and did not require me to pull new resources each week to prepare. Ta-da! The Math Journal was born. I tried each activity out last week with second and third graders with very different abilities. They all worked great and I love the flexibly! Although the basic activities are the same each week, no two are same because of the varied teacher directions and different starting numbers. It was really easy to differentiate in so many ways. I love how the covers turned out! And, you can either print the cover in color, or print it in black and white and let the kids use colored pencils to color it in themselves.

Math Journals can be used as a daily
warm-up activity or as a math center.

There are five activities included. One for each day of the week!

• Fraction Action
• One and Done
• Wipe Out
• Broken Calculator
• Guess My Number
• Plus a Marvelous Math Vocabulary Glossary
